Next week has three events that should be of interest to Granite Geek fans. The fact that I’m involved in two of them is sheer coincidence.
Monday, Oct. 3 – Red River Theater in Concord will show “Lo and Behold” a film by German director Werner Herzon about “the past, present and future of the Internet and how it affects human interaction and society” – after which I’ll moderate a discussion. I think it starts at 6:30, but check the theater website to be sure.
Tuesday, Oct. 4 – Science on Tap in Manchester. SEE Science Museum’s science cafe-ish series discusses invasive species in New Hampshire. Stark Brewing Company, 55 Commercial St., discussion starts at 6 p.m. Details are here.
Wednesday, Oct. 5 – Science Cafe New Hampshire in Nashua talks about Big Data. What is it, what isn’t it, and what’s it going to do to us. 6 p.m. at Killarney’s Irish Pub, 9 Northeastern Blvd., Nashua. Details are here.
I’d like to have a New Hampshire geekish calendar in every newsletter; if there’s a public event coming up that you think might belong, email me at dbrooks@cmonitor.com – make sure to include all the who/what/where/when/how-much details.
