The New Hampshire House of Representatives has supported a bill that says New Hampshire will shift to the Atlantic Time Zone, dumping daylight savings, if Massachusetts does it first. Here is the Union-Leader story.
I reported on this bill a couple of weeks ago and figured it wouldn’t go anywhere, so this vote extends my records of inept political predictions.
However, note that Massachusetts hasn’t even started studying this unlikely idea (“Hey – let’s disconnect ourselves from New York City!” said no Boston businessman ever). Plus, the N.H. Senate has to approve it, too.
