When 80% of the audience has taken calculus, it’s a good movie crowd

38 people coughed up $10 or more to see “Counting from Infinity,” the movie about UNH lecturer Tom Zhang’s twin-prime breakthrough, followed by a talk with me and Zhang’s colleague Edward Hinson, a UNH math professor, in Concord this week.

If you missed it, shame on you. I asked the crowd and about 80 percent of them had taken at least one calculus class. Man, that’s my kind of audience.
