The last Science Cafe NH of the fall was held last night at Killarney’s Irish Pub in Nashua, discussing solar power. There were lots of questions about financing and regulations, but geekiness also abounded (sine waves!).

Science Cafe in Nashua is undergoing meiosis – or is it mitosis? I always get those mixed up – this winter. It is splitting into two independent entities that will come to life in January, one still in Nashua and the other, a new one, in Concord, which I will moderate. More details soon.

In the meantime, to whet your appetite, the February event in Concord is slated to discuss the genetic revolution prompted by the technology known as CRISPR, which is playing out in startling ways in China, where genetically modified animals are becoming almost routine – as Nature reports here.
