A couple of weeks ago I visited Swenson Granite quarry in Concord, and the story ran Sunday. My photos are with it, and if I say so myself they’re pretty good – which just goes to show that with a decent camera and lens (thanks, Monitor photo staff!) and an interesting subject when the light is good, even a doofus can do all right.
It is a very cool place. Unfortunately, they’re not set up for tours – liability and all that – but they also own Rock of Ages in Barre, Vermont, which *is* set up for tours. If you have never been, you should definitely go: Details are here.
