From SmartGrid News: The Edison Electric Institute, the trade association for investor-owned electric utilities, is forming a partnership with Sharper Shape, to develop Unmanned Aircraft Systems beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights in the U.S. – the idea being that utilities will be able to use these flights to inspect power lines and other assets to identify and address issues.
