Actually mountains don’t seem to be much of a deterrent. That dark line from NC to VT appears to follow the AT.
That’s bad and embarrassing, but not as bad as those desert southwest states where the sun has gotta be bright. What the heck is going on with the west? My gosh, look at Colorado! I’ve been thinking the world is making progress, but that is apparently just because I drive through VT and MA.
