On Tuesday, March 18, Science Cafe NH will discuss the Science of Meditation. It will explore the physiological, psychological, and spiritual benefits of meditation. Participants can learn about various meditation techniques and how they influence cognitive processes and stress reduction.
Science Cafe NH is now held at Soel Sistas, 30 Temple St. in downtown Nashua (in what locals still call Indian Head Plaza). It runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Are the presenters saying meditation is a science? Or are they speaking about the science that underlies the practice of meditation? Both?
I am not part of Science Cafe NH any more and don’t know the presenters so I’m afraid I can’t answer. Meditation is one of those topics where there are legitimate aspects – and lord knows we all need help relaxing these days – but also a whole bunch of hooey, and sometimes it’s hard to untangle the two.
The food and drink are pretty good at that place, judging from my one attendance, so there’s that!
