Regular readers know that I love New Hampshire’s historical highway plaques, especially the one that honors the creation of BASIC and the super-especially the one that honors the nation’s first “alien abduction.”
I thought nobody could touch us in this category, until I saw the above Tweet.

It reminds me of an old cartoon where the characters are reading a highway plaque that states something to the affect ” at this location, nothing exciting ever happened”.
I still think the Barney and Betty Hill plaque takes the cake. Some believe that because the it was installed officially by the state that it is indeed recognition that it did happen 🙂
